Night Game Drive

Using a spotlight to pick out eyeshine in the dark, night drives reveal species rarely seen on a normal daytime drive — genets, civets, bush babies, and predators beginning their hunt. Only a limited number of parks and concessions permit night driving, so availability depends on where your itinerary takes you.

Permits for night driving are limited to specific concessions and private conservancies rather than the core national parks, so it's worth mentioning early if this is a priority — we'll build your route around a camp or lodge that offers it rather than trying to add it partway through a fixed itinerary.
