Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park sits below Mount Meru and fits a remarkable range of scenery into a small area: mountain forest, the alkaline Momella Lakes and open grassland.

It is one of the few parks where you can go on a walking safari. It also has one of the highest densities of giraffe in the country, plus troops of black-and-white colobus monkeys. Being so close to Arusha town, it is an easy half-day or full-day trip that many visitors overlook.
