Stone Town Walking Tour

A guided walk through Stone Town's narrow alleys, past its carved wooden doors, the old slave market site, and centuries of Swahili, Arab, Persian and Indian influence layered into one small UNESCO World Heritage old town.

Most walks run in the morning before the heat sets in, taking in the old fort, the House of Wonders, and Freddie Mercury's childhood home along the way. It pairs naturally with a stay in Stone Town itself, or as a half-day stop on the way to or from the beach resorts in the north and east of the island.
