Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya is one of the most reliable places in East Africa to see both black and white rhino in a single park. Rothschild's giraffe and abundant birdlife are other highlights, and in some seasons large flocks of flamingos line the shore.

The park is compact, so game drives are efficient and you can see its highlights without long transfers. Flamingo numbers change with the water level, but the birdlife is rewarding all year.

Nakuru is an easy drive from Nairobi and fits nicely into a Kenya safari centered on the Maasai Mara, or into a longer trip that includes Tanzania. Ask us to build it into a cross-border itinerary.
