Overview
Instead of a long drive, this safari begins with a short flight from Arusha straight into the Serengeti. From there you explore the great plains and the Ngorongoro Crater, with plenty of time for game viewing and birding.
Flying in means fewer hours in the vehicle and more time in the parks, which helps if you have a fixed schedule.
The two destinations complement each other well. The crater packs a huge amount of wildlife into one bowl, while the Serengeti's open grasslands rank among the finest safari country in Africa.
