What really affects the price of your safari
Instead of giving you one figure that may not fit your plans, here is what actually pushes the cost of a Tanzania safari up or down.
Accommodation is usually the biggest factor. Mid-range lodges and camps can cost half or even a third of luxury properties for the same number of nights. You can compare our accommodation options across both levels.
Each extra day adds a night's accommodation, park fees and vehicle and guide time, so cost rises roughly in line with trip length. The daily cost often falls slightly on longer trips.
A private vehicle and guide cost the same for one person or six. Sharing that cost across a bigger group lowers the price per person considerably.
Park and conservation fees are set by the authorities, and no genuine operator can discount them. They are a fixed part of every honest quote.
International flights, visas, travel insurance, tips and personal spending are normally not included. Always check what a quote covers before comparing prices.
The only reliable figure is one based on your dates, group and comfort level. Send us those details, and we will send a clear, itemized quote.
