Overview
This short lodge safari works well at the end of a longer holiday or after a Kilimanjaro climb. In three days you see the elephants and baobabs of Tarangire and spend a full day in the Ngorongoro Crater, with comfortable lodge nights in between.
The price depends on your group size, the number of days and the standard of lodge you prefer, so we will confirm an exact quote once we know your plans.

Day by Day (3 days)
ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA
Land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at any time. Abakombe Tours drives you privately to Arusha Safari Lodge on the slopes of Mount Meru, and the rest of the day is yours to relax. In the evening we meet for a short pre-safari briefing and confirm your medical cover and travel insurance.
Overnight at Arusha Safari Lodge, half board.
GAME DRIVE IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast we leave Arusha for Tarangire National Park, arriving in good time for lunch. Your first game drive takes you across the park's wide, open country, known for its big elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, and continues through the afternoon before dinner at the lodge.

NGORONGORO CRATER AND RETURN TO ARUSHA
Today you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. Around 600 m deep and 19 km across, it is home to some 30,000 animals, giving you an excellent chance of seeing the Big Five: lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. Lunch is a picnic on the crater floor. In the late afternoon you drive back to Arusha.
