Overview
This one-day trip takes you into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for gorilla trekking without a long stay in Uganda. It is an option if your schedule is tight but seeing gorillas matters to you.
The day starts early with a briefing at park headquarters. Then you hike for anywhere from a short while to several hours through steep, dense forest, depending on where your gorilla family has moved overnight. Once you find them, you spend a carefully controlled hour watching them up close before hiking out.
Because it is so short, this trek is usually added to a wider trip in Uganda, Rwanda or Tanzania rather than booked on its own.
