Overview
This eleven-day trip pairs gorilla trekking in Rwanda with a classic Tanzania safari. The two very different experiences are linked by a short flight between Kigali and Kilimanjaro.
In Rwanda you trek into Volcanoes National Park to spend a carefully managed hour with a habituated gorilla family. Then you fly to Tanzania for open-plains game drives in the northern parks, a complete change of pace and scenery from the Rwandan forest.
Rwanda's gorilla permits are limited, so please plan this trip well in advance.
