This two-day trip is an easy way to fit gorilla trekking into a short schedule. The extra day means a night at a lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest instead of a rushed same-day return.

Trek day follows the usual pattern: an early start, a briefing at park headquarters, a hike of varying length to find a habituated gorilla family, and a carefully controlled hour with them. The second day lets you leave at a relaxed pace.

It works as a short gorilla trip on its own, or as an easy add-on to a longer trip in Uganda, Rwanda or Tanzania.
