Overview
This five-day trip combines two southern parks. Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous, is one of Africa's largest wild areas. Mikumi National Park is the easiest southern park to reach from Dar es Salaam.
In Nyerere you can take boat trips on the Rufiji River as well as game drives. Mikumi's open grasslands feel like a smaller Serengeti. Together they make a good southern safari without the long journeys needed to reach Ruaha or Katavi.
