Overview
Ten days gives a honeymoon safari real breathing room — enough time to properly cover the Northern Circuit's classic parks, including the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the famous Lake Manyara National Park, without the rushed pace a shorter trip sometimes requires.
Days are built around private game drives and romantic extras — a private dinner under the stars, a couples' spa treatment where available, or a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti — layered onto a proper wildlife-focused itinerary rather than replacing it. This length also comfortably allows for a rest day or two between longer driving days, so the trip never feels like a race between parks.
Many couples extend this itinerary with a few days on Zanzibar afterward, though it stands well as a complete Tanzania honeymoon on its own.

Day by Day (10 days)
Depart Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park, known for tree-climbing lions and strong birdlife.
A full day of game drives across Lake Manyara, covering the park's varied habitat from groundwater forest to open plains.
Travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Overnight on the crater rim, with views down into the caldera below.
Descend to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing in one of the most concentrated wildlife areas in Africa.
A further day exploring the crater floor, with a genuine chance at all of the Big Five within a single, contained caldera.
Drive to the Serengeti, with game viewing along the way. Afternoon game drive on arrival, with overnight in the central Serengeti.
A full day of game drives across the Serengeti's central Seronera area, home to resident lion prides and, depending on season, the migration.
A further day exploring different areas of the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives.
Travel to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, with an afternoon game drive on arrival.
A final morning game drive before the drive back to Arusha for your onward departure.
