Overview

This three-day trip goes from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park, formerly the Selous Game Reserve. It includes a boat trip on the Rufiji River, where hippos, crocodiles and many other animals gather at the water's edge.

Nyerere is one of the largest protected wild areas in Africa. Seeing it from the water gives a very different view from the vehicle game drives of most Tanzania safaris. We can also arrange fly-in trips from Zanzibar, or road trips from Arusha in the north.
