AMREF Flying Doctors is a well-established East African air ambulance and medical evacuation service, widely used across the region's safari industry as a genuine safety net for travelers in remote areas — many of Tanzania's parks and camps are hours from the nearest proper hospital by road, and a light aircraft evacuation can be the difference between a manageable situation and a genuine emergency.
