Overview
This 10-day lodge-based itinerary opens with arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your visa is processed on arrival before a transfer to your first night's accommodation — a well-organized start to a comprehensive Northern Circuit itinerary.
The route includes a stop at Lake Natron, known for its striking red-tinted water and dramatic setting beneath the active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai, alongside a walk along the Ngaresero River — a genuinely different landscape from the rest of the Northern Circuit's parks.

Day by Day (10 days)
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your visa is processed at immigration before you're met by our representative and transferred to a lodge around Arusha. Check in and meet your safari manager for a briefing on the days ahead. Overnight at Planet Lodge or similar. Dinner included.
Depart Arusha, passing through town for any last-minute shopping or currency exchange, then continue across the Maasai Steppe and the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park — named for the euphorbia tree the Maasai use for livestock hedges. Look out for the park's famous tree-climbing lions, along with elephant, giraffe, buffalo, hippo and flamingo at the lake itself. Overnight at Olmesera Camp. All meals included.
Drive north to Lake Natron, a striking alkaline lake known for its deep red-tinted water and as one of East Africa's most important flamingo breeding sites, set beneath the active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai. An afternoon walk along the Ngaresero River leads to a series of waterfalls. Overnight near Lake Natron.
Depart Natron and travel to the Serengeti, Tanzania's most famous park, with game viewing beginning as soon as you cross into its boundaries. Overnight in the central Serengeti.
A full day of game drives across the Serengeti's central Seronera area, home to resident lion prides and, depending on the season, the wildebeest migration. Overnight again in the Serengeti.
Drive from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing along the way. Overnight on the crater rim with views into the caldera.
Descend to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing in one of the most concentrated wildlife areas in Africa. Return to the rim in the evening.
Travel to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe, one of the last hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. An afternoon visit offers a genuine cultural exchange alongside the trip's wildlife-focused days. Overnight near Lake Eyasi.
A final morning with the option of a walk with a Hadzabe hunting group, before the drive back to Arusha in the afternoon. Overnight in Arusha.
Depending on your international flight time, a relaxed final morning in Arusha before transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight home.
