Overview
This 6-day itinerary pairs Uganda's two signature primate experiences: gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest — a genuinely complete primate-focused trip covering both of the country's most sought-after encounters.
The gorilla trekking days involve a hike of variable length through dense forest to reach a habituated family, followed by a regulated hour observing them at close range. Kibale's chimpanzee tracking offers a different pace and terrain, through forest with one of the highest primate densities in Africa.
Given the popularity of both experiences, we recommend booking this itinerary with reasonable lead time to secure permits for your preferred dates.

Day by Day (6 days)
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you'll be greeted by our representative.
Transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala for relaxation after your journey.
After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours.
Arrive at the park and check-in at your lodge.
Enjoy lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive to spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and more.
Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Early morning breakfast followed by a boat safari on the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species.
Disembark and hike to the top of Murchison Falls for stunning views.
Return to the lodge for lunch.
Afternoon game drive in the park.
Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, known for its chimpanzee population.
Arrive at the park and check-in at your lodge.
Lunch followed by an optional guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Early morning breakfast before heading out for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest.
After tracking, return to the lodge for lunch.
Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours.
