10-Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary: What's Realistic
What's realistically possible on a 10-day Tanzania safari
Ten days gives real breathing room, and it's often where a safari stops being just a wildlife trip and becomes a fuller Tanzania holiday. There's enough time to combine the Northern Circuit with a meaningful Zanzibar stay — 3 to 4 nights, not just a couple of days tacked on at the end.
It also allows repeat game drives at the same migration location rather than a single drive and moving on, and it's a genuinely realistic length for family safaris with children, since it naturally builds in rest days between the longer driving days rather than packing every single day with activity.
If you want a trip that properly covers wildlife, some downtime, and a beach component without any one part feeling compressed, ten days is a strong length to work with.
