The dry season, June through October, offers the most reliable game viewing across the entire Serengeti — thinner vegetation and animals concentrated around remaining water sources make this the safest bet if consistent sightings matter most to your trip. The green season, November through May, trades some of that reliability for genuine advantages: noticeably fewer vehicles at every sighting, and camp rates that drop meaningfully compared to dry-season peak pricing.
