Overview
This 7-day itinerary covers Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, along with the Serengeti and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, traveling through some of Tanzania's most striking landscapes along the way.
Days typically include a stay at a tented camp within the Serengeti itself, giving genuine immersion in the park rather than commuting in from outside its boundaries. The full week allows a proper pace across all four parks, with real time to experience each rather than a rushed single stop.

Day by Day (7 days)
After a safari briefing in the morning and an approximate 2-hour drive, arrive at Tarangire National Park. Giant baobab trees, bush savannah and seasonal marshes define this reserve, considered one of the best places to view elephants up close. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest, closely followed by predators including lion. Overnight at Lake Burunge Tented Camp.
Travel from the Tarangire area to Lake Manyara National Park, known for over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests and grassy plains. The alkaline Lake Manyara itself is a seasonal breeding ground for flamingos and waterfowl. After an extensive game drive, overnight at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge.
Travel via the cooler highlands toward the southern Serengeti, reaching the plains by midday. The Serengeti is Tanzania's largest park, with short grass plains, savannah, thick bush and the bizarre kopje rock formations where predators are often seen. Overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp inside the park.
A full day exploring the central Serengeti's Seronera area, with morning and afternoon game drives covering resident wildlife and, depending on the season, the migration itself. Overnight again at Kati Kati Tented Camp.
Depart the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with game viewing along the way as the landscape shifts from open plains to highland forest. Overnight on the crater rim, with dramatic views down into the caldera below.
Descend to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing in one of Africa's most concentrated wildlife areas — a genuine chance at all of the Big Five within a single, contained caldera. Return to the rim in the evening.
Depart the crater rim and drive back to Arusha, with a final stop en route if time allows. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight, or to your hotel if extending your stay.
